Blue Cat Connector In Gig Performer tò Ableton

Questions about Blue Cat Connector Demo vs M1 Pro stability

Hi everyone,

I am currently testing Blue Cat Connector to route audio from Gig Performer to Ableton Live on a MacBook Pro M1 Pro.

My current setup is:

Sample Rate: 44.1 kHz (matched in both DAWs and System)

Buffer Size: 128 samples

Connection: Localhost (same machine)

While testing the Demo version, I am experiencing regular audio dropouts and the ‘Drop Outs’ counter in the plugin interface keeps increasing every few seconds.

However, I noticed that the Drift value is very stable, oscillating only between -1 and +1 ppm.

My questions are:

Are these dropouts and the increasing counter strictly a limitation of the Demo version, or could they be related to my M1 Pro / macOS system?

Is the stable Drift value (+/- 1 ppm) a good indicator that the connection will be ‘glitch-free’ once I purchase the full license?

I want to ensure a 100% stable and high-quality audio stream for live performance without any pops or clicks.

Thanks for your help!

Is there a specific reason why you dont use the included GP Relayer Feature?

I didn’t know this actually existed, and it seems to work great! Thanks!!
