Nate Goulet @ Keyboard Players in Cover Bands:

Tip 8: Always bring a backup laptop. Or
at a minimum, backup bootable hard
drive. An older computer will do in:
emergency, even if less than ideal.

Tip 9: If using a computer for your
instruments…or a modern computerized
workstation style keyboard (Kronos,
Montage, Fantom, MODX, Nautilus,
Fantom 0, etc), always have another
keyboard you could jump to in the middle
of a song IF something went wrong. While
the chances are less than that of your
guitarist breaking a string and having to
switch to a lesser quality guitar mid song,
or your an amp failing, or PA problem, it
could happen. Always be ready to switch
to something else to get through the
songs…If you had to. Don’t 100% depend
on one keyboard. Things happen, gear
fails, and we push wrong buttons
sometimes.
