Best way to setup one VST with many presets?

Hi there, I am new to Gig Performer and have a pretty simple use case I think which is to just host one VST, Superior Drummer 3, and allow me to switch between it’s presets quickly. One complicating factor is I have a lot of presets, about 170, though for live shows I only use about eight.

I am running the trial version and have tested out that I can have one Rackspace per preset, clicking the left list there to switch between them, or I think I can use many preset buttons on panels. Both of these approaches seem to have pro’s and con’s, anybody have a suggestion for the best way to do this? Thanks very much!

You could always use both approaches. For example, use separate rackspaces for the 8 presets you use live, and then a 9th ‘everything else’ rackspace in which you directly change the presets via widgets.

Thanks. Using widgets I am not quite sure how to have a button widget on a panel load a specific preset. Right clicking the button to load a GP preset doesn’t always load the one I chose, and I see nothing in the widget properties about loading the plugin with a specific preset.
