Hi,
I bought a new controller for Gig performer, the behringer xtouch mini.
It’s perfect ! But there is one thing i can’t figure out how to do.
I would like to be able to une buttons to change song parts (i found how to do that with widgets and system actions)
But i would like the Led to light up depending on the song part where i am.
For exemple i would like to be able to select the 2nd song variation on my computer, and be able to display it on the button of my xtouch mini.
Any idea how to do that?
There are a few different ways to attempt this. But I think it will likely involve a GP Script.
Are you on Windows? Last time I checked the Editor program for the X-Touch Mini was only available for Windows.
It will help if you change the buttons on the X-Touch Mini to be latching and send CC messages. From memory, the default for the buttons is momentary note messages.
Hmm, I usually do the opposite……the buttons on all my controllers are set to non-latching (push sends 127, release sends 0) and then if I want different behavior for certain operations, I use the Momentary To Latching feature inside GP for the particular button that I may care about.
I think because the goal is to have the LED on the X-Touch lit for the corresponding song part, that having the X-Touch button set to latching would make this easier. When I have mine set to momentary, the X-Touch LED will not stay lit, even if the widget is latching and ‘Syncs’ the value back to the X-Touch.
oh, ok
I’m on mac, but I have a windows computer and a assigned all the button to latch and CC.
Do you know what else to do?
I just tried to Assign it to a widget that controls system action “selectpartorvar#” with the “sync” option.
I can control the change, but of song part, but the LED don’t follow
