(beginner) problems with my midi controller M-VAVE Chocolate in GP5

hi everyone, im new to GP5, so it took me a while to learn how to use it and work with it, but recently a problem arose that stumped me, which has to do with my MVAVE pedal, and well, I wanted to try to see how I could configure it in Cubesuite, but I didn’t get anywhere. It seems that in Cubesuite, its set as ‘‘Advanced Mode’’ and assigned as step short/step long, with step long for changing snapshots ( 1-4 in my case) and step short for turning an effect on/off (4 different effects, thats my main goal). But here’s the thing: it seems that something cause that function (turning effects on/off) to malfunction (at least I think so), because, for example, I tested its response by turning it on and off continuously, but it works really bad (gp5 switch gets stuck and things like that when pressing it continuously on/off or when i turn it on i can’t turn it off). i have read something about CC# values, but all my attempts have been in vain, and I have read that it may be impossible to use the 4 buttons on my MVAVE to switch between 4 different snapshots and toggle different FX on/off.. but hey, any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance yall.

Generally, it is best to configure a controller so thst when you press a button it sends a CC message with a value of 127 and when you release the button, it sends the same CC number but with a value of 0

That way, you can easily assign buttons to widgets in GP

This is how I use my Chocolate Plus (although not with GP, ironically with a Valeton GP-5).

You need to set two values for each function, as David says. On will be 127, off will be 0, both using the same CC number.
