Bagpipe Drone Ideas

I have a problem with a bagpipe drone in that the sample in the sampler engine is only about 30 secs long then cuts out
My initial thoughts are to have two instances of the sampler playing for each of the G D and g drones.
starting a note after pressing E.G. C3 at volume 127 for 20 secs then before it times out to start another, then swap each other after that.

If key E.G. B2 is pressed they both stop and reset ready to go again.
They both need to be “blended” so there are no perceived volume changes and gaps so that the drone sits under the Chanter.
Has anyone done anything like this before or could give me some assistance on it

Ps I’m trying to recreate part of Ommadawn by mike Oldfield on a keytar and BBC2 Breath Controller.

I’ll probably end up with 7 instances for the G D and g drones plus Chanter
Sadly I cannot use 1 or two instances as the Sampler detunes the notes slightly from the original samples so I have to retune each instance by hand to get the drones in tune to the chanter.
Any help is gratefully received.

or if you can think of any better way to do this ??
Thanks
Damian

Can’t you loop the sample ? One time I used this software after a recommendation of @pianopaul:

they are locked in a .ytil library format that only “Engine” sample player seems to understand

Then sample that using GP’s autosampler
