The Roland cloud stuff i have is both. I have a couple of life time keys, and the rest is on subscription. but all need an internet activation.

I ‘think’ ive figured out why B-3X kept crashing, and why it started working. It looks like it’s using an iCloud folder to store the presets. It’s strange but the IK app is not set for this, but when I open the patch it takes me to the iCloud folder instead. So they were missing when I was off line at the studio, and therefore crashed the app when I recalled them, but after i had gone on line I guess the presets were downloaded.
I plan on moving the folder to a local one after the next gig, but have marked all the presets to keep downloads.

I despise Microsoft’s icloud. Basically tricking you to store data on their cloud. Maybe to train ai?
I like the fact that my data gets backed up and shared across devices automatically. In this instance I think its an IKM issue, as the Folder it says its using, which is a local Documents folder, is not the path its actually using. Even clicking on the path in the IKM Hub app opens a different folder.
This is true on both my MacBooks.
