Audio mixer volume Drop

Hello, why would the audio mixer volume keep dropping off when switching variations.???

Bad Co.gig (1.4 MB)

Did you map any widgets?

Yes, it’s mapped to the audio mixer

As Paul hints at….

Check if you saved a volume change in the variation.

If you used song parts, the other possibility is you saved a volume change setting to a song part.

I’ve gone back and reset the volume and saved it for both variations, but for whatever reason it still changes and drops out

Are you using setlist mode?

Yes I am still using Setlist mode.

Try changing it to the volume to what you want (with the assigned widget) and save it in the songpart (“capture variation”…little window on top right)

Thanks I will give that a try

What volume did you reset?
You know that a mapped widget controls the mapped parameter ?

Making changes in setlist view wont “stick”. You need to change it in panel view or as mentioned before apply changes to variation.

What Mixer Channel is dropping volume?

Hmm, if you use “capture variation” in the songpart, it will stick in that songpart.

The songpart shows the “panel view”, I believe. Unless I am missing something. (But, I save volume levels in songparts using the “capture variation” tool (aka “snapshot”) all the time. (One of of GP’s great features, IMHO)).

In variation “Piano” the plugins Piano V3 and CP-60 V are sending to unmuted Mixer Channels.
In variation “Piano Transposed” the plugin Piano V3 (1) is sending audio to its unmuted channel.
The other channels are muted.
So is seems logical that the sound level is lower in the 2nd variation.
Also did you check that the plugin Piano V3 and Piano V3 (1) are sending on the same audio level?

In the audio mixer channel 3

Why do you use a scaled curve for the widget controlling the Mixer Level

I did not know that scaled curve for the widget was controlling the Mixer Level. It should not be like that.

In the Rackspace the third channel volume keeps dropping out whether in the piano variation or the transpose variation. The first and third channels are muted when in transposed piano variation, which is how I wanted it. It’s just in the piano variation that the third channel drops down. I appreciate your help.

Reset the scaled curve and then it will be fine.
And the scaled curve is for controlling the mapped parameter.
Can you confirm it is working now?

Thank you for pointing that out. I’m actually at work now, but I will be able to check it out later on tonight and I will post about it then. Thank you again.

All set. Not sure why I said it like that but thanks for helping pointed out. GP community is a great asset and a great tool. Thanks again.
