Assign trigger to different midi within variations with Pacer

Using the Rackspace from @schamass , which is great for what I want to do.
I’m having the following issue:
Working with the Nectar Pacer to trigger the samples works for the first song with only 4 samples. The next song I have 7 samples but only 5 buttons on my pacer.

What I want to achieve is: first variation with sample 1 to switch 1 on pacer and sample 2 to switch 2.
In the next variation I’d like to use sample 3 to switch1 and sample 4 to switch 2 and so on.

I can’t get it to work. Any help would be much appreciated.

This is something i always wanted to have as a VST but never could find it… maybe it’s too simple?! A basic sample based audioplayer with 8 pads, where you can load a diffrent sound on each and then play it as one-shot triggered, loop repeating, play as long as you press the pad… All of them should be able to play independently from the others in asynchronous manner. This won’t work, since the assignment of midi controllers to widgets is done in the settings of the rackspace itself, not in the underlying variation (which only stores values of widgets, not their controller assignments).
Only chance i see, is to use diffrent rackspaces.

Hoped there might be a solution but I’ll split them to different backspaces then.

I haven’t looked at your rackspace but couldn’t you use GP Script to do this by detecting the current variation and responding to the existing buttons?

Sure, but it would be anything but flexible or versatile.
