Anyone know if this is legit?
Looks not very serious: âDownload code sent inââŚ
Arturiaâs V collection is typically installed by the Arturia Software Center, therefore you need a license (which is also offered as V Collection X on the same page and marked as âV Collection X licenseâ).
Also keep in mind, that V8 provides only 30 - the current V X 39 models - some of them in an upgraded version V8 does not provide!
If itâs cracked software, I would run away.
If it is legit (even though V8) itâs a great option, IMHO.
Thats nonsense.
Iâve recently brought 3 Arturia soft synths from an on line retailer (Gear for music) and they send you a code. You then register the software on Arturia website.
You download the software using ASC and then activate the VST when you first run it.
The link posted is from a legit website.
Iâm absolutely aware that retailers like Gear4Music, Thomann etc. sell licenses/codes. But typically not old/outdated versions. Same for other companies which offer discounts via plugin boutique & co.
Just sayin that it looks not serious to me.
I was just pointing out that âdownload code sentâŚâŚâ is the standard way of doing things.
Saying that, when this was posted on FB earlier today i did also question if it was legit, but other than the âwithin a day or twoâ i felt it looked genuine.
A bit of Googling and it seems this is only valid for customers in the USA and Canada. Looks like itâs been going for a while though, so not a new deal.
It is indeed legit. Iâve seen it before not only on ProAudioStar and but also other vendor. I think Arturia is expecting buyers of this old version to upgrade. I started with V6, 7, and now 9. Each time, the upgrade was $100 when it was on special sale.
I just tried to buy this. I couldnât add it to my basket and using PayPal i was blocked.
Using a VPM got me as far as getting it in the basket but my payment methods donât work.
Im in the UK. Guess it really is just for USA/Canada. Shame they cant be bothered to advertise this clearly.
