Is it possible to get an arpeggiator vsti to stay in time with your live playing even if the tempo isnt constant in Gig Performer? If so, can you recommend a free or cheap arpeggiator and how to achieve this?
There are som Arpeggiator VST which can be synced to the global play.
When the global play is synced for example via Ableton LINK then the Arpeggiator is also synced to the new tempo.
Now my question: Do you expect that the global tempo follows your playing?
I was wondering if that was possible. But even syncing with global tempo would be useful.

I second the BlueARP.
Very versatile and you can even use a kick trigger to keep the tempo with the drummer instead of an internal click.
I’m not at my machine right now but I’m 90% sure it has this function even though I don’t actually use it. I’m pretty sure it’s in the sync menu options
Ive downloaded it, and BlueArp is perfect for what i want, and free. I havent tried to get it to respond to a note trigger yet, but i can see that it has that facility. Thank you for your help everyone.
