Thanks for your long reply (hope I don’t spend too much of your time this way).
It gives a nice history/insight of GScript and it seems it’s a very useful tool. It’s the difference between an application that can do a lot with ease, or do a lot with ease but everything with some effort. I prefer the last, and I guess many musicians (at least VST users/keyboardists) have technical skills. They also are stubborn and having all their own way of working (thus ways of creating gig files).
So I’m really glad there is such quite capable programming language.
The OSC way seems interesting, and could by sending a (silent) note preventing the dolphine sound :-). I first am going to program more songs in the next month(s), and then going to improve the rackspaces, peculialirities (like this, using scripts probably) and improving the sounds. An interesting time to come.
