Is anyone using B5 with Gigperformer? I have both VB3 and B5. My go to has been VB3… I love the sound and it uses less resources. However, since things seem to run much better in GP I figured I’d try B5 again. I’ve been having trouble mapping controls. Most specifically, the drawbars are reversed. There is a setting in B5 to invert them but this hasn’t helped and the “invert parameter” checkbox in GP seems to be stuck in the “checked” position.
Someone posted on the keyboard forum that Acoustic Samples has announced a big update…improvements in sound and mapping… so this may be a moot point. But I’m curious to hear if anyone else is having similar issues.
Are you running the AU version? If so, try the VST version instead.
I’ved tried both, same issue. Sounds like the next update of B5 will make mapping controls more intuitive.
I was working with another customer yesterday who had B5. We were able to associate a knob with a drawbar but actual control only worked with the VST version. I did not try using an actual drawbar widget. Can you check to see if you can associate a regular knob with a drawbar in the VST version? If you can not, you may have an old version of B5 or UVI Workstation
I’ll check out my version. I was able to associate drawbar widgets to the drawbars but the direction was reversed and I couldnt find a way to switch it. Like I said earlier, I got spoiled by how well VB3 (with 32 Lives) played with GP. Everything mapped so easily. But I’ll def check my version of UVI.
FYI — I contacted UVI and got the following response this morning.
This range issue via host automations has already been addressed. Both fixed updates of UVI Workstation and Falcon will be released later today, respectively v2.6.9 and v1.2.1. Stay tuned !
Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.
Thank you so much for the investigation and follow up!
