Acoustic Haven

Acoustic Haven is a band from Wolfsburg, Germany, performing finest acoustic music.

With Gig Performer, this three-piece acoustic band (vocals, guitar, keys) can give its maximum. They use backing tracks for cajon, shaker and bass (plus a click track).

Fully equipped with stereo IEM for all band members by using the Behringer XR18.

The band also records everything played live with Gig Performer.

Some photos:

The iPad changes rackspaces automatically (with UnrealBook sending MIDI Program Changes).

Rackspace per Song by using the Audio file player for backing and Click Track. The VST is only Piano.

The Global rackspace with MIDI controls, leveling the Tracks and Piano, and a music player for the band’s break times.

Controlled by an Arturia MIDI controller, to start the backing tracks, increase volume in Solo Parts.

Finally, the complete live setup:

Other info:

  • Quote: I love this flexibility with Gig Performer - no need to buy additional software!
  • The band is using audio files for backing tracks.

Thanks @npudar for putting this article together :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Our gig with went very well in front of ~400 people. Gig Performer did a great job, including live recording of the complete show (~3 hours).

I love the lighted Trinkgeld (tips) bucket. Sehr kool!

We just added a MIDAS 16 channel output module to provide all signals to FOH if needed.

I shared this thread on Facebook as an example for duos/trios. :beers:

Interview with the keyboardist, Alex Faust:

Proper German engineering.

Just out of curiosity: If the Ipad changes the song in GP, would you still be able to use the Music Player when a song had 2 or more rackspaces? Wouldn’t changing the rackspace halfway a song mean the Song Player would also change?

@alex1974

Yep….thsts why you would put the player in the global rackspace

As this band Acoustic Heaven did. Of course, they did. Thank you @dhj !

We have one Audio file Player per Song/Rackspace, so the IPad changes the rackspaces via program changes.
