A plugin crashes when receiving program change to change rackspace

Hey people , I have a problem .

I have a stream deck with the midi plugin , and I’ve assigned pc numbers to the first variation in each of the backspaces I want to change between , but when I send a program change to gig performer it crashes instantly .

Two of the backspaces have midi instruments so I have filtered out the pc message incase this was the problem.

i checked the incoming message in a midi monitor , it says ch:01 Program Change:001 , it doesn’t send doubles or get into a feedback loop or whatever .. its really strange , and really irritating .

I’m on a m4 Mac on sequoia 15.6.1 with the newest Gig performer version .. any ideas where to start looking ?

maybe I can bypass the program change message and use scripting somehow ?

to answer my own question , I made a new rackspace with no plugins , and it works fine … Its a problem with a vst then .. ill just delete this topic

ok, thanks for the reply .

it crashes , but then just hangs until I forcibly quit it … does this still generate a crash report ? when I choose force quit it just disappears , and there’s no message box about crashing or crash reports

I found a solution for me , the stream deck extension works perfectly so I don’t need to bother with program changes and such
