I have all 4 sets but they are so cpu heavy that I can’t use them on my macbook air M1 16GB 512 GB. That’s a shame.

All of them or single rackspaces?

A song with 1 rackspace with variations for instance Don’t Stop Believin

Are you getting crackling? What is happening?

Your sample buffer is 512?

Jeff

Yes I’m getting cracking my buffer size is 128

Maybe see if 256 bothers you?

I will give it a try

If that solves the crackling issue, it might be worth it to give yourself some time to adjust. It might be one of those things where it bothers you at first, but after a while you don’t even notice the (slight) latency. (And be glad your not a pipe organist, hah!).

[I do find NARF can be cpu intensive. Here I Go Again was particularly so.]

It’s likely due to Arturia plugins. They sound great but I had to move away from them to Cherry Audio mainly due to the CPU load.

Would love to see a Cherry Audio edition of these patches

Cherry Audio does not have Emulator, DX7, Synclavier, CP70 etc.

There may be things you could do to reduce CPU.
Maybe you could reduce the polyphony in the plugins?
Maybe it is set to highest “quality”, when, in a live setting (as opposed to recording), you could use the lowest “quality” setting.
I am not sure whether NARF bypasses plugins and effects that are not used in a particular song part. You could look into that.

There might be other options to explore, but these are the ones I could think of off the top of my head.
