You have to enable MPD232 Port A in the MIDI Output Ports.

I’ve tried all the outputs with no luck, I’m afraid
Please enable and then press the Sync Button and choose the MIDI Output

Just reading these threads so they are stored in the back of your mind is so helpful. I go back to threads in this forum all the time when I am trying to do something new (or, to tell you the truth, up to the 8 or 9th time doing it, hah!).
