I’ve given up on anything Bluetooth for live after trying many BT pageturners for my iPads and having them all freak out at some point, depending on the venue and amount of people. I now just use wired pageturners and now am traumatized into even trying anything wifi onstage (the bt pedals, it worked flawlessly during rehearsals, even during soundcheck at the venue, then when during the show at the worst time, freaks out…& yes, it worked on some other venues, usually smaller ones, I think to fool me into a sense of security).
I don’t know anything about TouchOSC, but I assume it will work with iPad wired to the laptop?
Yep… I feel ya. I had a similar issue though with a Behringer mixer running its own built in WiFi and once the venue filled up I had no control whatsoever. TouchOSC can transmit/receive over a wired network. You can do this with a switch in the middle or a direct network connection between iPad and MacBook.
I know that @dhj brings an inexpensive router on his gigs and has no problems.
