A final update for this unit. I did a battery test last night. I plugged both midi cords in and had my 49 note keyboard running as well. I played the keys a bit but not all the time. The battery icon started flashing at 2 3/4 hours. So I think maybe I can count on a good 2 hours if I was playing constantly.
Also, I stated early on that the unit can’t be charged while being used. I was wrong. It can be. Cheers.

In the USA you can pick up the original Motif-Rack for around $250 in mint condition…
I have three of them. Basically turns any midi keyboard into the original Yamaha Motif which
is still an amazing keyboard 25 years later. Many of the patches in the Montage/MoDx are original
Motif Patches, some with very minor effects edits.
Its a very large unit - 1U but very deep, but handy in a pinch!
