Recording not working [solved]

correct

Do I need to start another topic as this will be maybe confusing now,. Cheers

Had to change to Camelot to record as could not get GP recording to work

Why did you record all channels, if you routed your audio to only two output channels?

Wouldnā€™t it make sense just to record the first and the second channel? Can you try that?

I never had a single problem with recordingā€¦

Hi, Iā€™ve tried everything inc 1,2,3,4 channels, Iā€™ve waited for it to record, checked whether and thing has been recorded.
If I use the timer option the record button lights and counts down then stops at zero.

Could it be something to do with windows permissions?

Well, you can try to set another folder. I record to a non-system partition.

Just for testing purposes, can you try with another driver? For example, ASIO4ALL or simply Windows Audio?

Yeah will look into that option when Iā€™m home on Monday,
Also Iā€™m going to re install windows next week.
Cheers

Yes, please tell is if that solves your problem.
Thank you!

Will keep u all updated. Cheers

Definitely only record the output channels you are actually using, regardless of whether it has anything/nothing to do with your issue.

Your screenshots only show Analog 1 and 2 being used as an output - only activate those outputs in the recording window.

Yes. Otherwise itā€™s eating up way too much memory.

Recording
Works ok with ASIO4ALL on a new fresh gigfile or any of my other smaller gigfiles.

Does not work with ASIO4ALL or win audio on any of my main live gig files.

Iā€™ve tried with different Audi input/outs as well

I donā€™t want to change too much as got a gig tonight.

Ok, if you want to track the issue further after your gig, I suggest that you:

  1. First create a backup copy of your main gig
  2. Disable one plugin from the Plugin manager
  3. Reload yoir gig file
  4. Try recording

If it doesnā€™t work, repeat steps 2-4.

I suspect that a plugin is behaving badly.

@simusix2, we would much appreciate if you could do as suggested by @npudar, it is important for the GP community to identify the source of your problem, even if it is so rare that it is the first time such an issue appears.

Yeah gonna go down that route first before re installing windows
cheers

Have done tests will update all laters.
Iā€™m now having an issue with reactivating a fresh install on same laptop

Just to report - it was a windows issue.
Re installed windows and all is now fine

Poss it was something to do with permissions somewhere on old windows
