i am referring, possibly in error, to the latency reported for each plugin (and here the Silo granular delay) when you hover with your mouse over the plugin. my overall latency as reported in the audio settings is around 4ms.
But the real latency you get is much more.
The overall latency of 4ms is without calculating the latency introduced by plugins.
ok in the specific musical scenario this might not really concern me, as plugins such as Silo are used only for extreme appliances - like, getting an extreme variety of processing results, as desired taking large amounts of time to finish their wokrings - like, more than 10 seconds… (have searched and not found anything like Silo for this purpose).
i’d like to thank everyone that took the time to reply - yesterday’s gig was more or less flawless thanks to the advice provided by you, and i gained new insights on some details that will be helpful in the future.
