Nord out via usb has to go thru computer to connect via usb to other board , so that’s 2 usb to 1 normal ?

I’m using nord as master to drive launchkey
Maybe I’m not picturing the setup, but wouldn’t you still need a MIDI out from the Launchkey back to the computer or a synth for the Launchkey to trigger something, then? There’s no speakers or other output than the seven segment display and the rgb pads.
Novation launchkey via usb to computer , same with Nord , both thru hub, then im sure in Gp I can arrange a set up to slave it
Right. I’m talking about if you weren’t using USB. You would still need a MIDI out signal from the Launchkey, wouldn’t you?

You don’t need to chain MIDI devices the traditional way when you’re using a computer host app. It is much more flexible to make the virtual MIDI connections to and/or from any MIDI device in your setup. Configurations can be modified per rackspace. Any MIDI controller(s) can access any plugin or hardware.
