Newbie seeking tips

It can be used in one rackspace for an extra parameter on an instrument, amp, effect, in another rackspace it can be used to trig a sample, and so on.
But in any case, it is never left without a use, because as soon as I get the chance to have an extra switch, I always immediately find a use for it - except as a spare.

Exactly. And if in doubt, it can be mapped to the ā€˜Make me play betterā€™ parameter!

My tip is to watch all the youtube videos on using GP. Even if you canā€™t absorb everything, you will get a feel for your options and youā€™ll be in the position to go back and watch the video more carefully when you want to use something.

When you try to do the stuff they show on the video, itā€™s good to have the manual nearby.)

If you are trying something new, you can always create a new Gig file so you do not accidentally mess up your current Gig file.

Searching this forum is also helpful. And of course the people who inhabit this forum (including the developers) are amazing.

Thanksā€¦I like the idea of having a rack space-specific use.

Another thing that came to mind was to have it trigger a boost for soloing.

Yes, and so much moreā€¦ GPā€™s limits are only those of our imagination.
