Microtuner plugin?

If you haven’t, check out Aurally Sound’s home page. Scroll down to see the ton of features you get with the Pro version. They are the main reason I bought a Pro license. Very helpful when transcribing a song and to get the bassline MIDI. Song Master Pro and Melodyne Studio are the two apps I use to help me learn basslines.

An example of the critical need for pitch detection (I love Melodyne’s blobs!) is the first two notes of Michael Arnopol’s bassline for Patricia Barber’s “Too Rich for My Blood”. Except for those two notes, the remainder of the song is in perfect F Major. I struggled trying to play them on a fretted bass. Once I ran the song through Melodyne, I saw that the first note was 50 cents sharp and the second note was 25 cents sharp. I bought a fretless bass to make them easier for me to play without having to resort to string bends.

Cool! I think Song Master Pro will soon replace my current Anytune setup :sunglasses: Just playing around with the demo for my next rehearsal…

The trick I have used for years to figure out bass is to transpose up a few octaves. It then is easy to hear the bass notes

I’ll give that a try. :+1:
