Looking for Expression Pedal Advice (FC7 No longer an option)

This pedal seems very efficient and neat but I wouldn’t buy one for 2 pence:

  • I can’t afford a pedal of this price
  • even if I had the budget, I wouldn’t buy it because of the lack of a closed case. Not only can dust and dirt get in, but small materials could even get into the internal mechanisms, blocking or even damaging the moving parts (gear train, potentiometer).

Yeah, it wasn’t cheap but I just wanted a solid solution and it solved my issues, including 1 I didn’t anticipate. Due to the recessed TRS connector, I can scoot the pedal right against the leg of my apex stands without tweaking the cable with the new pedal. I was always smashing my FC against the leg.

It will be more sensitive to debris I agree but I generally play in clean environments and the throw distance and angle (I play standing and right over the pedal) are absolutely perfect for me. I ride volume pretty much non-stop as it seems I can never find that “perfect” setting and I swell things in and out.

So no problem, just use an occasional clean compressed canned air duster.

I use to play outside regularly where wind, dust, sand and other things force me to clean all the equipment after a performance.
