So long as you have a compressor plugin with a sidechain input, you can easily create this effect with a wiring similar to this:
Just as the video explained, you have a separate routing for the reverb. You place the compressor after the reverb in the chain, and use the original signal as the sidechain input. You then adjust the threshold of the compressor so that the output is reduced when the vocal is active.
