Found the “simple meter” vst-plugin from REFUSE SOFTWARE, LLC. It’s free!
You can downsize the GUI very well to a super narrow band that you can leave opened ontop of the “screws” of a 2U Panel.
Nice solution (but without using widgets). Together with my 2 “Weak+Over” LED this gives a very good quick Info about input signal!
For me that is a usable solution.
