I’m not sure where you came across
/SongPartName
as an OSC address
You’re right, my mistake: I copy/pasted the wrong OSC address from a hidden label in my TouchOSC document. Your suggestion works of course, I notice also that my address is not in quotes - thanks!
Also, you using GP5? If so, there is a more direct way to sync songs/parts between GP instances
Yes, its GP 5.0.28. The first instance is linked bi-directionally to TouchOSC control in this test example, the reason for the scripting. The aim is to link both devices via a lightning connection, wifi off, and control the second instance with script commands as @Florian suggested.
Another question: At one point in my testing I had deleted the Global Rackspace script that is shown above in order to try something else. I saved the gig file, quit GP, and opened up the same file expecting the Global script editor to be empty, as saved. The deleted script was still there. After doing this a couple more times with the same result I finally tried deleting the script and compiling an empty editor. After saving and restarting GP the script was gone. Is this normal?
Happy new year to all!
