Widgets in global rackspace

I have made volume knobs in the global rackspace to make different volumes in my SAFP.

And when I go to the SAFP and I want to create a volume instead of the names I gave to the different Volumes I get to see Volume, Vol 1 and Vol 1.1.

Isn’t possible to see the same names as I have given it in the global rackspace?

Those are widget handles, not captions. If you copy a widget that has a widget handle, it will append numbers to the original handle because you can’t have multiple handles with the same name.

Thank you for the information. I have a total of 7 safp at the same times, so I guess I’ll just have to write what is what on a piece of paper because they are all volume handles for each safp

First of all, not sure why you need handles at all unless you’re trying to control them from GP Script or OSC

So here are four SAFPs, three of which I renamed (to arbitrary band names)

Now here are four widgets and I’m at the point where I can select an SAFP to use with each of them

and after configuring, I get this

Am I missing something?

I use the safp to play my backing tracks each instrument has its own safp.In each safp I have at this moment 36 songs. In each song I want to control the volume of each safp (read instruments) and store them. So I make at the beginning of each track a marker where I ser a volume of each track. It would have been easier if it was possible to use multitracks in one safp but that is up to now not possible. That’s why I need so many players. At this moment I use 9 players simultaneously.

I see - so you need handles so that you can control things from actions.

That’s very useful feedback, thank you.
