Vb3 - II plugin fails sporadically - live gig in 10 days

Hello,
I noticed yesterday during rehearsal that Rackspaces in which I was using the VB3-II organ (latest release) were failing sporadically. When switching to one of these rackspaces, there is sometimes a loud cracking noise and then my audio interface shows a full deflection on the display until clipping, but you can’t hear any sound at all (maybe a high frequency tone). Organ sounds are no longer audible in this case. If I then switch to a rackspace without VB3, everything is back to normal - but it cracks again when I switch.
As I have an important live performance in 10 days’ time, I need to be able to rely on the organ sounds.

My questions
Has anyone experienced something similar with VB3 and been able to fix it?
I am currently considering whether to switch to IK Multimedia B-3x or Blue3. Are there similarly serious problems with these plugins?

Thank you

Latest version (2.3.0) on Win or macOS? If macOS AU/VST/VST3?

I mainly used the AU in the past, just updated a few days ago, but did not make any bad experiences so far - Rehearsal yesterday was fine.

The CA Blue3 is quite new - no long time experience - the legacy Blue3 from GG is rock solid.

For me it’s the exact opposite (MacBook Pro M1), I avoid AU and only use VSTs. Otherwise I see it like tripleB, Blue3 Legend from GG is rock solid. The Hammond B-3x requires a lot of resources. I wouldn’t use plugins that have recently crashed shortly before a live performance.

In case you want to try B3-X, it’s on sale right now.

I’ve never had any issue like this with any VST.

I use B-3X and while it is a memory hog and slow to load initially because of the UI, it’s been rock solid.

But to try and solve your issue… are you using a mix of VST2 and VST3 plugins in your gig file? I would recommend not mixing these and perhaps in the case of Vb3, not even having both versions installed or at least enabled in your gig and see if that helps at all.

I’m using only VST4

Are you a time Traveller?
