I want to add some meter widgets to a panel in which I’m using Audio File Player. I tried linking the widgets to Lane playing and Lane volume without success. What am I missing here?

the Audio File Player does not have parameters for level monitoring, but the Audio Mixer and Gain and Balance plugins do.
Simply connect the output(s) from the file player to an Audio Mixer or Gain and Balance plugin and then drop a few meter widgets in and connect them to “Channel 1-2 left (and right) meter” parameters (in case of the audio mixer.
This obviously works with any other plugin that is producing audio.
