Use GP with 2 macs as plug in host

Has anyone used GP on a host mac ? so essentially one mac to rule them all?

Can you explain? I don’t understand the question

Use a mac to run audio application…qlab for ex. And use a second mac for just the plugins

In my band a mac plays the backing tracks and controls video.
And another mac I am using for keyboards.
Both macs use their own audio interface and send their signal to the foh mixer.

But that is nothing special.
What use case do you have in mind?

My idea was to use a dual redundant macs playback system. (digital performer/Qlab/reaper etc)… so a master and a slave I am already using the redundant part that’s ok but, the plugins (fabfilter multibands compressors, or reverbs etc)… would reside on a 3rd mac patched thru gig performer, access would be from the console /thru madi, so essentially the 3 rd mac would function like a waves soundgrid system? makes sense?

thx

With OSC 1 instance of Gig Performer can control the other (redundant) Gig Performer
and and intelligent redundant audio interface can get both signals.
When 1 Mac dies, the other plays further.

Thx Paul, my macs (master /slave) already have redundant switching in the console through MADI and I would like them to only handle audio /video /midi and timecode i’ll route the audio out parallel to a 3rd mac that will host my plugins…which can be bypassed at the console if need be…
