Triton Extreme Plug-in Error

I just started getting this message when I start Gig Performer. I know I have a valid license and after I dismiss the message my plugin runs without problem. I just purchased it about 3 or 4 days ago. The message just started appearing today. Is this something I should report to Korg or do you think Gig Perfomer is trying to load it prematurely when I start up my gig file?

It is enabled in Gig Performer. I’m using the VST3 version.

Any ideas?

Do you have a simple gig file with just that plugin? Does it show this problem?

Normally those messages don’t come up unless you double-click on the actual plugin block?

Are you using predictive loading?

3 Rackspaces each with the same plugin but different settings.

Predictive loading at 1.

It seems not to get the error if the last time I closed a rackspace, the plugin was not popped up (visible). In other words, I go to each rackspace and close the plugin. Then restart Gig Performer and I don’t get the error. Only when the last rackspaced opened had the plugin visible.

Yep, makes sense. In predictive loading, the plugins are being loaded in the background. If you have also configured GP to open plugin windows automatically (something I must admit I never do), then GP will open the plugin window instantly, but the predictive loading mechanism won’t have loaded the plugin so that’s why it seems to be missing.

OK, so I will make sure I do not have plugins in rackspaces open. At least I now know what is going on.

I’m going to add this to our tracking system – it may be that we can wait until a plugin is loaded before showing it when “open automatically” is enabled but one is in predictive loading mode

Thanks, @dhj !

As long as I understand it, it is OK. In the meantime, I will make sure the plugin is not visible when shutting down and if it is, I now understand why there is an error and not to worry.

Ive just recently got this plug in and haven’t had any issues, and im amazed it’s taken me so long to discover the Triton. What a fantastic sounding synth. It’s already started to replace a lot of JP8/OB-xa rackspaces.

Yes, I had a Triton Extreme years ago but the keybed went bad so I sold it. It was also very heavy so it is very nice to have the plugin now. I missed the sound of the Spanish Guitar and many others so it was nice to get it back in virtual form.
