Taking the plunge from GP3 to GP4

Finally… have a break from gigs and my live computer broke! So its time.

  1. Are GP3 rackspaces capable of being imported directly into GP4?

  2. Same for songs and setlists?

  3. Anything else I should prepare before I don’t have GP3 anymore?

thanks, Eric

All fine, just open your v3 Gig file and Save as under a different Name.
When you overwrite the gig file, you cannot open it with GP v3.

There are some minor changes you would have to work on, for example transpose range of MIDI in plugin is wider than in V3.

The panel layout has been drastically improved in GP4 and it is not fully compatible with GP3 in such a way that you will possibly have to adjust the widgets placement. But all the gig file will open properly. And fasten your seatbelt, GP4 is a major improvement with regard to GP3.
