There is currently a “group buy” to get a crazy number of synths (using samples from the original hardware synths).
Some pro and cons (but the cost has got to be a “pro”). Any way, it might be a way to built up your synth arsenal and be a good option for many.

And there is a good chance it will only cost you $35.00 for the full Max Synth. I think I got enough “Jam Points” by just registering with the websites. It is as amazing array of sampled hardware synths. But, it does take a lot of time (and hard drive space) to download and install everything (and back it up, which is recommended). So, pros and cons. But I think there is a lot of quality there for a low price.
