Been searching for sounds being I’m a new GP user.
I know a lot of folks have recommended Arturia V collection.
However, I was checking out SampleTank 4 and SampleTank 4 Max both tagged at $50 on the IK Multimedia site.
Has anyone used these sounds through GP? Quality? Worth it?
ST4 requires 128GB of hard drive space while ST4Max needs 640G
Being I have 1TB ssd hard drive in my MacBook, can I (if I decide to go this ST route) have these samples/sounds on an external drive and still use them with GP? I would hate to practically fill up my internal storage with one sound file option
I have found ST to be rather buggy in the last and I would not use it in a live situation. That said, it may have improved significantly in reason release so if you go down that route, make sure you really test well.

Hard to find sounds you need, nearly impossible with Syntronik part.
Huge bug. Discussed with IK support with no solution. Since years.
Macros can go to zero randomly upon a call.
Since macros have tuning as one of them, where default is 50%, you can get an out of tune result when you play live. It happened to me twice in concert.
Since then I avoided any use live of Sampletank.
I am thinking to delete all the files because I am running out of SSD space. It makes no sense to keep something big you cannot use.
I am sorry because IK is based in my country.
Other products from them are used heavily by my rackspaces (Hammond B3X, Mixbox, TRacks) and I really love those things.
