Due to the usb connection on my Casio PX5s dying, I decided to try using the midi output on the Casio and send it to my MOTU and transfer all controller data from the Casio using Rig Manager. My goal was to tell all my rack spaces that when they see the MOTU midi out block that they would automatically use it instead of the Casio midi out block assigned to the VSTs in the rack spaces of the gig file. Essentially still use the PX5s as a controller, but use its Midi out connector instead of the intermittent USB connector, without having to go into every rack space and rreassign controllers. I was able to get all sliders and knobs to transfer correctly and all VSTs responded as if I was using the USB port in the Casio. I then saved the Rig Manager as an exported file. I also saved the gig file. If I open a different gig file, shouldn’t I be able to import the Rig Manager file that I created and have the “Casio midi block” VSTs respond? When I do this, Gig Performer sees the MOTU midi data in its Global Midi Monitor but doesn’t convert it to the Casio out block assigned to each vst. Even if I load another rack space that has the Casio out block into the original gig file that works appropriately, the new rack space does not respond. What am I missing?
