Hello, I’ve created a rackspace with over 70 plugins, and naturally, space is limited. To avoid some cables, I’m using GP Relayer, and I’ve zoomed out of the rackspace to see them all. My question is: isn’t there a “folder” system where I could group some plugins? I read something like “Create container,” but I can’t find it in Gig Performer. Any suggestions? P.S.: Please don’t suggest multi-rack systems or variations. I want everything in the same rackspace. Thanks.
Right now there is no container or similar
What is the use case you need this many plugins?
i create my own General Midi Bank
What VST are you using to get the gm sounds?
for the moment Modo bass2 CS for bass (8 instances), Pianoteq Demo Version (8 instances), Steven Slate Drums 5.5 (SSD5 Free) (1 instance) etc… Somes Eq, Reverb ….
And I write a scriptlet for each sound.
And for strings, organ, lead, flute, sax, brass, percussion etc?
soon…Perhaps SWAM
For the moment halion sonic for others sounds
Will your rackspace be able for creating splits and layering sounds and switch sounds while playing.
Will you use it live in the context of a band or is it just experimental or studio usage?
Why ?
It is just experimental for personal use. No splits or layering sounds.
Just playing general midi file (with midi file player or external midi player) , then I cut the piano chanel to play piano. ![]()
Here is a part of my Rackspace…
Filter each sounds, and for basses, adding a Transpose (no transpose in modo bass2)
What will the scriptlets do?
For each program change sent by the MIDI file, I retrieve the channel, remove everything on channel 10 (reserved for drums), then filter the program change to the correct sound (pianoteq 0 to 7 or modo bass 32 to 39). I added a transpose of +12 for modo bass…
