PluginPersist 2 – Plugin volume resets to full when switching variations

Hello,

I’m having an issue with PluginPersist 2. I have about 10 instances set up, each routed to different plugins. When I switch from one variation to another and then back, the plugin volume jumps to full (100%). To prevent this, I’ve blocked volume and other CC messages in the MIDI In block, and also inserted a MIDI Filter to block CC7 (channel volume) and CC121 (reset all controllers). I’ve also assigned an unused CC number for the PP2 scriptlet used to control plugin bypass. All other settings are identical to the main PP2 template. The issue happens with several plugins, including Arturia Emulator II, CMI, Farfisa, and CZ. It’s really frustrating. Has anyone else run into this or know what might be causing it?

Did you try resaving the volume in the 1st Variation the way you want it? Maybe the proper volume was not saved in it?

Are you using setlist mode? Is it possible you saved a snapshot and that is affecting this. (Something similar happened to me, but within setlist mode).

Another possibility is if you added a widget after creating the variation. That confused me at some point too.
