OS update (Mac 11.6.3)

Today I have done the usual SW maintenance on my Mac incl the 11.6.3. update. It was the usual maintenance within the OS (Big Sur) not the installation of a new OS version and not a major upgrade.

After the update I need to reactivate GP4. Is this the expected behaviour? Is it necessary to deactivate GP4 to perform the usual SW updates within an OS version? Have I now lost one of the GP4 activations ?

It’s always not a bad idea to deactivate…though not always necessary. You should be able to just log back in using your key code.

I had no problem to reactivate GP4, but i was not aware that also minor OS update may require to reactivate GP4. My understanding is that you only have limited options (3 or 4) to activate GP4 and therefore you should avoid this situation.

Although you might have to enter your license again after an update, it won’t use up an additional activation.

You’re good to go.

Thanks for the feedback
