One Rackspace that keeps sticking brass notes!?

Help - I have this great rackspace for sledgehammer by NARF - I rearranged the blocks a little bit for my own performance - and now - somehow certain notes stick and I have to hit panic for them to stop - every time its a different note that sticks - and once that note sticks - the panic button only makes it stop

its intermittent when I gig - sometimes its fine and then it just starts again - its a tricky one

the one set up is that the controllers are omni

1 - Where might I begin to isolate and recreate this the next time it happens
2 - is it possible to program a global panic button on two controllers?

What do you mean by that?
In scripting you can use the Panic() function.

Maybe that is the root cause?
Are you using Rig Manager?

Check you aren’t holding the note or sustain pedal when switching racksapces.

Check you aren’t doing the above if changing variation’s with the sounds being transposed between the variations.

These two have cause me to have hanging notes, and at first I thought it was random, but realised it deepened on what I was doing.

I think I have this issue more often with NARF rackspaces. I think they are default OMNI. At some point I am going to fix that. (Sustain pedal is definitely a trigger sometimes).

I changed the controllers from Omni to my specific one I am using - seemed solid tonight

Btw - don’t let that discourage you from using NARF - he’s really put the work in and they sound great !

Good, yep, I need to do that too.

They are excellent!

Died in Your Arms sounds amazing, but it is causing crackling on a powerful laptop (but seemingly not on my gigging laptop, even though cpu gets to 70%).I’m gonna try making some tweaks to moderate CPU usage, like bypassing plugins that are not used in certain songparts, maybe reducing polyphony slightly, seeing if there are different “quality” options, etc. (Creating another instance might help too, but that’s a bit of a learning curve for me).

So strange - it started sticking again a random note while in the rackspace - after I hit panic, it stops - but somehow that magic note will always hold - (and then I have to hit the panic button) - One option as a quick fix I was looking for is to assign the global panic button on both my main keyboard and my keytar so I can stop it while playing if it happens again) - midi monitor doesn’t show anything, and ultimately - the only thing that fixes it is restarting the entire gig file. Two panic buttons is a temporary workaround - but I probably need a different thread for that.

Thanks for sharing about Panic(). I may and up needing that as a workaround to solve the

issue I am having with Blue3 where notes stop sounding unless I hit Panic. Now I can script

it to Panic() on every patch change to a Blue 3 patch

I have panic assigned to a button on my controller, and ive put a label on the controller so I don’t forget which one it is. for a while it was the most important button I used, but these days im more clued up on what I can and cant get away with so I hardly need to use it.

Ive been using the red record button on my arturia - but when Im playing front and center with my keytar - away from the arturia - I NEED to be able to panic remotely :).
