Please help me understand the logic of numbering songs in a setlist.
I use the “all songs” list to create the band’s repertoire.
When I add a song, a new number is there and the Ipad with ForeScore can send a midi signal to select it.
But some songs have NO number, just a “-”.
Can someone explain why?
The song parts also have NO active number.
How can I renumber them?
Can I sort the list alphabetically or ascending by number ?

If you don’t assign an explicit PC to a song part, they just use default values
I would be happy , when it’s use the default. But it use nothing. So I can not explain wha it is „not“ using the default

I can not select the song, even I go to defaults
I don’t know what you mean by “can not select the song” but in the screen shot you are displaying, the song. “Skandai im Sperrbezirk” has the default program change number 68 and that is because none of the song parts in that song have been assigned an explicit program change number.
So consider my simple example here.
I have three songs and I have not specified any program change numbers for any song part and hence each song gets a default program change number (by the way, understand that in this case, it is the first song part of the song that is tied to that default program change. So if I sent program change number 2 into GP, the “Verse” song part would be selected.
Now, if I double-click on the second song part (say), here called “Intro” and assign an explicit program change number to it, in this case PC 15,
Note that you can see 15 associated with the song and more specifically, with the song part to where the PC 15 was assigned.
If I assign an explicit PC to the song part “Chorus”, then the display will change to this:
In this example, because more than one song part in the song has explicit assigned PC numbers, there will be an asterisk associated with the song itself to indicate that more than one part has an explicit PC number and then each part displays the actual PC

When you see the screen shot there is the song 68 „Skandal im Sperrbezirk“ . This song is available by sending the midi code for the song.
The song below „smoke on the water“ has NO number by default. This is what I do not understand. Here is a „-„ . Here is no number.
Why is this so?
Why do I not get a Default number ?
Here I have to assign a Number by using the song parts
Where is the difference ?
I think I have found the problem. A few of the songs have fixed numbers the others had the default configuration. if I fixed number over rules the default you receive the “minus”.
I have decided to give all Fixed numbers in the song part. So the numbers Do not change when I’m deleting a song.
