Hello there, i am trying to sync my NOME II Midiclock. I can make GP receive the tempo but only when NOT PLAYING. Start Stop from the Midiclock device works but when GP is in play-mode (green play button lit) then the tempo changes wildly allround… any ideas? thanks in advance
Did you enable MIDI Clock in Rig Manager?
Did you enable Sync tempo with external MIDI clock in the rackspace properties?
What version of Gig Performer are you using?
Thanks. Yes i enabled those 2. Gigperformer 5 running…
How did you connect Nome with your computer?
Do the tempo changes occur with an empty gig when you press global play in Gig Performer?
USB C Cable
Do you have a DAW to test with?
thats it. thanks! ypu got me on the right track.
I had a plugin from the company the builds the clock and without this its working. in every other DAW this plugin does the job for syncing…cool.
how can mark this one as solved?
So what’s that plugin doing and why is it needed in other apps? Do the other apps not respond directly to clock?
its calles u-sync and in logic for example it helps the DAW to identify and sync with the clock.
Synchronization:
The u-sync daemon facilitates the seamless exchange of data between the hardware and the DAW, ensuring both devices maintain the same tempo and time signature.
- USB Connection:
This daemon specifically leverages a USB connection for this synchronization, hence the “U” in “u-sync”.
- Background Process:
It operates as a daemon, meaning it runs in the background, continuously monitoring and synchronizing data without requiring constant user interaction.
- Midronome Integration:
The u-sync daemon is designed to work with devices like the Midronome.
- Real-time Updates:
The synchronization is not just a one-time event. The daemon ensures that changes made on either the hardware or the DAW are reflected in real-time on the other device.
