No sound when a certain note is pressed

Setup:
MacBook Pro 13" late 2013 OS Mojave 10.14.6
Transcend USB3 hub
Akai Midimix controller
Yamaha EX5 synth
Native Instruments S49
Audio interface: Motu 828X thunderbolt

The issue I’m running into is that within just one rack, there’s this one key on my EX5 that doesn’t have sound. In midi monitor, you can see that it’s pressed and released, but I hear nothing from that one key. In other racks in this gig, the key works great. Any suggestions??

Do you have it (accidentally) mapped to any widget in that rackspace?

To further diagnose, connect a MIDI Monitor block in front of the MIDI input of the plugin that should produce the sound.
