Hello all, I’m new to Gig Performer and am running the 14 day Trial version to check it out before buying. I’ve already watched several YouTube tutorials and reveiws so have a decent idea of how it all works, and have made a basic Piano rig with one instance of Kontakt.
However, I can’t find anything online about basic Plugin orgaisation menus etc; GP scanned all my plugins resulting in a menu that is a randomly jumbled up mixture, with hundreds of both FX and Instruments.
Can I have a menu dedicated to just software instruments, such as Kontakt, and another menu didcated to FX plugiins such as EQ, Revrbs, Delays etc etc…?
Also, I’d like to “delete” many of my plugins that were scanned at setup of GP, as I really don’t need, for instance, my Waves Bass Rider in the menus, along with many others that I’ll never use in GP.
I’ve started reading the user manual pdf, but thought it best to ask in here as well.
Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction to sort this out.
Many thanks in advance…
In the Plugin Manager, you’ll see the various column tab headers(Name, Format, etc.) which you can click on to sort by that column. You can add keywords to plugins. You can also Enable/Disable plugins here as well (right click on a plugin in the list to bring up a context menu).
In Wiring view, you can use the shortcut Ctrl-P/Cmd-P to bring up the Plugin Finder window, where you can filter----for example, if you type in Distortion, all of your plugins that categorized as distortion would appear in the list to choose from.
@VictorKennedy To be clear, when you Disable plugins in the plugin manager, they will no longer show up in any of the menus, so they are “virtually” deleted.

Thanks for your quick reply Ed. I’ll check all that out later today…I’ve got to get ready for Christmas shenanigans now but will explore and let you know how it all goes down the track.
Yesterday I paid for Mainstage, thinking that if I bought it on my newer MacBook Air os Sonoma, that then I’d be able to go back into App Store and downlaod an older version that will work on my 2012 MacBook Pro; it has 16gb Ram and is great sturday beast which I’d prefer to use for gigs, instead of cartingf aeound the frail. thin MacBoopk Ar…anyway, agter 45 minutes with Apple Support (?) I was told that as I’d never purchased and earlier version of Manistage, I can’t revert to the earlier version, but if I HAD a previous purchase, I could do it…crazy, as I’d just paid for the current version.
SO…I searched for alternate setups to MS and landed on GP, which I’m sure I’ll purchase after a few days of experimenting. It’s also nice to find there’s a dedicated user forum/community here in GP land.
Cheers…Be well…
