Hi everyone … I’m having a weird issue … every time I restart my machine and start GP5, I almost ALWAYS get a crash at the first attempt. I then give it a second try and almost always it will startup fine… On some occasions, I will have to give it a 3rd try …
I have also had to startup without “load last gig file” option… Once GP is up and running, I then load the gig file and it usually starts up ok…
It always ends up starting and work perfectly the rest of the session but it’s weird that it takes a few tries to startup…
Any ideas?
I’m using Kontakt, Korg TRITON and TRITON EXTREME, XPand!2, Pigments (installed but not used), Cherry audio, Analog Lab 4 & 5, Pianoteq 8 (Installed but not used), Waves SSLChannel, BlueARP, KeysOfThe70s, Melda MCharmVerb, TH-U
As I posted on another thread, I installed Sampletank 4 MAX and had a problem with it “remembering” the sound within the plugin, so each time I recalled a rackspace with anything related to ST4, be it ST4, Miroslav, Syntronik etc, there would be no instrument loaded within the VST… So, I decided to delete ST4 from all rackspaces and find similar sounds from other instruments I already had on the system.
So, basically, I did and undid anything that I can consider “change on the system”.
Here’s the thing.
Last night I changed ALL FM8 VST3s to VST and went to bed… knackered!!
This morning, GP started up marvelously… Fingers crossed…
I’ll let you know how things go from here on with this change.
for the past couple of days, on every startup, everything runs perfectly… so, I suppose we can take this as a sign that FM8 VST3 format has something dodgy and doesn’t run well, at least on my machine…
