MPE Pitchbend Dropouts

Hi everyone,

I’m running into an intermittent MIDI issue when using my Expressive E Osmose as an MPE controller with Gig Performer, and I’d appreciate your insights or troubleshooting advice.

My Setup

  • Host: Gig Performer 5 on macOS (Apple Mac Book Pro M2 Pro Chip)

  • Controller: Expressive E Osmose (connected via USB, MPE mode enabled)

The Issue While playing expressive chords or single notes, Note-On events register consistently, but polyphonic Pitchbend data is intermittently missing.

When observing the Global MIDI Monitor in Gig Performer, the pitch bend stream is occasionally completely absent for a played note, even though the Note-On event was received on that channel.

Any advice on how to troubleshoot or resolve the issue would be greatly appreciated.

It is clearly an issue of Osmose

In the sensitivity settings, i can clearly see the animation from the pitchbend working. I think the problem is probably the usb cable or the hub having transmitting issues.

Wanted to ask anyways, since I’m only a couple of days into this whole thing.

Please let us know when you’ve solved the issue, I’m considering to get the Osmose CE version. Thanks!
