Midi Out to kemper

I will play live using gig performer to play my keyboard and for backing tracks.

My guitar player uses kemper amp profiler.

He asked me if for me it is possible (using gig performer) to send a midi input to his kemper to change his program.

Is it possible and how?

Yes that is possible when Kemper understands midi messages.
Do you use an usb connection to the kemper?

No kemper has midi inputs so I can send him a midi input with a midi cable?

Yes, but you need an adapter from your mac to send midi via usb to the kemper midi in.

Can’t I use the midi output of my audio interface?

Sure, what interface are you using?
It should be visible as a midi out plugin in Gig Performer
As shown in my other post it is super easy to send pc messages to whatever midi out you want.

Scarlett 18i20. Thank you very much

@Mikicorsy ,

You should be able to use the midi output from your audio interface without any issues to do this. I have an iConnectivity MIO I use to perform the exact same function going from my rig to the Roland SPD-30 Octopad my drummer uses. You just have to set the appropriate channel and program change in the rackspace on a midi out representing the midi out from your Scarlett for any of the ‘songs’ you want to do this for.
