New user to GP5 (on a Mac) - For some reason, I am not able to map some effect parameters to widgets - more specifically - some parameters are not listed to select ( e.g. 275 Reverb Time) . Also, some parameters are listed under ambiguous names like “Slot 4” that I have only found its function by trial and error. So… should I be able to map EVERY parameter to a widget and how do I rename a parameter (if possible) to be more meaningful. These issues are related to the digital reverb effect that comes with GP5 in the TH-U plugin. TIA.
For any plugin, you can map any parameter that a plugin exposes through host automation. If they don’t expose the parameter, you can’t map it
Please review the TH-U documentation for this. Some parameters have predefined parameter numbers, some have no predefined parameter numbers and slots are used to assign a parameter number to such parameters. You can generally right-click on a parameter in the plugin editor to see with what slot it is associated, so you shouldn’t need trial and error.
You cannot rename a parameter that comes from a plugin - the plugin is responsible for providing that name. However, you can change the widget caption from its default (which is the parameter name) to whatever you like
Hello Alan, welcome here
I assume you’re referring to the reverb shown in the image below.
If you can’t find the parameter you want to map in the list, you can use the Learn Parameter function by clicking on the wanted knob in the plugin.
However, all reverb parameters are available in the alphabetically ordered parameter list.
