I was just curious if Mainstage plugins are exposed as a type that GP can use (AudioUnit or VST). Anyone out there know? For the price of Mainstage, you could get a ton of useful plugins.

Nope – those plugins are proprietary (and kinda locks you in).
That said, I wrote a blog article some time ago which shows you how you can drive those plugins from Gig Performer and capturing the audio output right back into Gig Performer.

I figured they were proprietary plugins, but one can always hope. I may take the approach you provided, but more likely, I’ll just skip it.
